12.05.2020 | 3ds Max - Scenes, Materials and Textures

Using the lamp from the previous lesson we started working on the environment of the scene.

The table was completed by adding four legs to the table top. A floor was created using the box tool.


Introduction to Material Editor.

In order to compose a realistic scene we learned how to apply materials and textures to the objects we previously created. This was achieved by uploading images of materials as maps.

 

In the perspective window, by selcting Realistic Material with maps, the materials created in the material editor become visible on the objects.





When we were satisifed with the materials and textures we then attempted to render our scene.
