01.06.2020 | 3ds Max - Animation

To finalize the 3ds Max lessons we created a small animation video.

First, using the text tool we wrote MVTA.


Using the extrude tool we gave height to the text.



With the bevel tool, we sculpted the edges to make them rounder. Then, using the material editor we assigned a brass texture to the letters.

In order to create the animation we learned how to use the frame editor on the bottom tab of the program. The auto button turned the frame line red and allowed us to create and edit the short film.


A camera and target light were added. The animation was made by moving the camera, light and letters.

In rendering environment we were able to add a background to the video. This was done by adding a bitmap.



After this we added sound to the video. The file for the sound was .wav and by choosing the frame where it started we could ajust the sound clip according to the movements.


To save the render as a video scanline renderer was selected, followed by active time segment. It had to be saved as an .avi file before rendering.
